The Newsflesh trilogy takes place 20-some years after the zombie apocalypse--I've been selling this to my friends as the post-Patriot Act zombie book. Society went on. People tend to stay indoors out of fear--the zombies were created by a virus, and anyone could go into viral amplification and turn, which makes large crowds and places you can't defend yourself scary. Consequently, the internet plays a bigger part in peoples' everyday lives than it does now, and a whole subculture of bloggers have become the new entertainment and news ( ... )
