Comments: Math isn't hard. Love is.Take a painfully shy and awkward high schooler (whose gender is ambiguous but is implied to be male) who has no friends and no hobbies other than exploring the puzzling and beautiful world of mathematics. Have them meet two girls. One is bright, aloof and not always capable of expressing her emotions; she notices patterns fast as lightning and practically worships Leonhard Euler, and uses music to explore patterns more than to express herself. The other is sweet, charming, and surprisingly quick to the uptake once she gets going; math doesn't initially come naturally to her but she tries and is rewarded for her perseverance, just like when she's learning other languages. Put them together in various permutations and have them solve math problems together posed by an eccentric but clearly awesome teacher ( ... )
