Stocking Stuffers and Defaulter Self-Check
All of the pinch hits outstanding have been assigned, and we are wildly grateful to all our volunteers! Because we've got such a large number of pinch hits this year, we've come up with a slightly new way to make sure that everyone has a little something by the archive opening, and we also figure that this could be a fun way to make up for people who suffer the twinge of disappointment at seeing their request come by on the pinch hit list.
Yuletide Stocking Stuffers!
This is the list of requests for participants who have not yet gotten a story, although pinch hitters are working away as we speak. If you can write a little something for anyone here, please do. The story length limit will come down on the 24th, so even if you can't write a full 1000-word piece, anything you can do will be very welcome. If the person has as we hope gotten their full story from their pinch hitter by then, it will be a nice stocking stuffer, and if not, then you've helped us cover. :)
So, if you don't already have a pinch hit or are done with yours, grab one! No need to notify us in advance, and more than one person can work on these. Once someone gets a stocking stuffer or their full pinch-hit story uploaded, they will be automatically removed from the list, to keep the priority on those who haven't got anything as of yet, but you can still upload any story you had already started working on. (Just keep track of the recipient name.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is only open to those who are already participating in Yuletide, either as original participants or as assigned pinch hitters. (If your name is in the participants list on the right side of the front page, you are eligible.) Sorry, but we cannot add additional participants at this point!
Associated with this, we've nailed down the list of defaulters. If you are are feeling paranoid or if there was some difficulty with uploading your story (eg, you uploaded right around the time the storycount got reset those couple of times), you can go to the defaulter self-check page and put in your name. If you are incorrectly listed as a defaulter or as banned, don't fret, just e-mail us to clear it up -- be sure to include your name, your recipient's name, your story title, and when you uploaded.
