Canon Used: Mostly the Video Game Canon because it's the one I memorized quite well and it gives a lot of details regarding Tear and Legretta as well as the side Quests from the game. I have yet to view everything else that is within this canon.
Appearance:
Standing at roughly 162cm and weighing 50kg Tear has an appearance of a young woman with brown hair and blue eyes. She has long bangs covering one of her two eyes and it's fairly long as well. She has a fair skinned complexion. Her attire is usually a brown uniform with yellow linings, matching gloves and heeled shoes. Underneath that outfit there seems to be purple tights and a purple sleeveless turtleneck. She doesn't appear to have a body of an average teenager. Her body is a little more mature than most of the females with a nice bust and slim body. Most of them are envious of her body while Tear does not understand why they are always complimenting and teasing her about it. It is her default attire most of the game. There are alternate costumes that Tear has for the game overall but they aren't particularly that important. I'll list them just in case.
Psychology:
Tear doesn't show a lot of emotions. She often comes off as a cold and calculating person whose always prepared for any possible encounters. She's only looking at what her objective is and aiming for a way to fulfill it. Death has little meaning to her. She knows her role as a soldier and she will risk her life to protect others. If she should perish in the process she won't regret it. That and killing others is quite simple to her. If she wanted to live she had to fight for her life. She often forgets that she has a civilian traveling with her and that Luke was unable to kill people as she would easily. She can't expect the enemy to have any mercy. Thus it was either her for the enemy. She was trained to be able to deal with it and move on.
As said she displays little emotions at the beginning of the game, even though she was clearly concerned with Luke’s well being, she didn’t seem to be showing too much concern, only enough. She tries to hide her emotions and bottles them up as much as possible. It was due to Legretta’s training on how she could not show emotions to people. If she was unable to do that, she was unfit to be the ideal ‘soldier.’ Tear is obsessed with the fact of being an 'ideal' Soldier that Legretta wanted as well as to prove herself to her brother, Van. At that time she was naive and unable to understand his true goals, hence her determination to become useful to Van. Legretta was believed to be the main reason why Tear has trouble displaying her true emotions. Even with her own brother's death, Tear still bottles up all her emotions and only showed her distress but she never shed a tear for her losses. Instead she takes it as a lesson and slowly moves on from her experiences.
Tear puts up a strong front but she isn't really all that strong. She is quite vulnerable to her emotions and sometimes keeping her cold demeanor doesn't mean that was what she truly felt. Tear has a huge weakness for cute things and that includes animals, plushes, and anything that catches her interest. That includes clothes as well. Tear actually is quite fond of the way the maids are dressed and she even tried on one of the outfits herself. She was complimented for it.
Tear refused to cry no matter what, and throughout the game, she sees a lot of painful things and grows depressed from them, but never did she break down, or crack a tear, even if it was her brother that was killed. Tear tries to be strong and holds up to her ‘ideal’ soldier face. Tear has a strangely growing affection towards Luke during the game, as you can see as the time progresses in Abyss. At first it was ore of like a sister/motherly form of affection, but it eventually changes as the game progresses. Tear becomes less harsh with Luke and scolding him at times that he needed to be scolded for reckless actions. She is much nicer to him, when she realizes his situation and such. She promised to watch him as well. She had shown her pain and sadness many times near the end of the game, as said in the background, she is quite sensitive to things that involved Luke and his life. She was angry and sad at the same time, when Teordoro, King Ingobert, and Emperor Peony, considered that Luke should die to neutralize the miasma that was surrounding all of Auldrant.
Tear shows her affection for Cheagles quite often. Since they have one traveling them, she often defend Mieu against Luke in which causes a lot of interesting things to happen. She is also very modest about herself. Tear doesn’t like to talk about her body, or wear too much revealing clothes. When people crack jokes about her body, for example, the skit with Anise, where the teenager wanted to have a well developed body like Tear’s and Luke intervenes saying that she would never have a body like that and upon Anise’s words at wanting big ‘melons,’ Tear gets embarrassed and scolds them. Despite her strong front, Tear is quite innocent. She would get flustered at simple jokes such as the one involving the Luke and Anise in the skit about her body. She is very self conscious about herself in all ways and forms. She often becomes very embarrassed if anyone were to speak of her body.
On another note, Tear is easily scared by Ghosts. Anything nonexistence in body or form floats in a creepy manner or even a story about a crying woman in the mountains will make Tear freak out beyond belief. She will try to cover it up and remain serious about it, though it would only last so long before someone points it out to her that she's afraid of ghosts. Tear is also someone capable of killing a she is protecting. She protects civilians and keeps them safe as a soldier, but at the same time she is also capable of killing without a blink of an eye when her life is threatened. She'll do whatever her main objective is and she won't easily let detours in her way.
Other Skills/Abilities:
Tear has trained as a soldier and a warrior under Legretta the Quick at a very young age on request of her older brother Van Grants. Tear is skilled with using small knives and move at a quick speed. She is able to execute her abilities according to her training as a soldier. Tear trained rigorously and strictly under Legretta. Legretta was also the reason for her inability to show her true emotions. Tear hides them under a thick mask because Legretta had taught her that showing her emotions would weaken her resolve. No matter how fast Tear is at fighting and throwing knives, she can never outwit Legretta. Tear has yet to surpass this woman. Tear is an exceptional fighter and holds a lot of ground.
Since her abilities to fight is ensured due to her hard personal training with Legretta the Quick; Tear is always attentive and ready to leap into any form of defense or offense. Whether the situations is meager or completely dangerous she is able to react accordingly with her abilities. When fighting without her Fonic Artes she prefers to use her throwing knives. Tear has deadly aim and almost always hits. At least unless it was Legretta. Legretta always somehow finds away to dodge Tear at all costs or deflect her blades.
Another of her special abilities is that she can use
Fonic Artes. They're a special type of ability that Fonists are gifted with and in Tear's case she is a gifted 7th Fonist. The 7th Fonon itself is a recently discovered Fonon in their world. It is the Fonon of Sound. Which leads to Tear's ability to be able to use the Fonon of Sound as form of weapon and healing. While the 7th Fonon is still new and the people capable of using the Fonons are sparse as well. Tear is hinted to be a descendant of Yulia Jue hence she is able to sing the Fonic Hymns of Yulia Jue as well. These special verses can cause damage or healing. She is also able to sing the Grand Fonic Hymn (In which doesn't require to understand completely as long as she has the knowledge of the hymns) which are compilation of the separate verses of the hymns sung together. That and Tear has amazing ability to understand Fonic Hymns beyond a normal Fonist and with that it allows to her utilize the hymns almost easily.
With these abilities Tear can be a dangerous and formidable opponent when given the chance. Her controlled emotions helped with her concentration during battles and she is often defending her allies if not aiding them in offense but overall her specialty lies in her ability to use Yulia's Fonic Hymns as a weapon and a form of healing. Her Fonic Artes those specialize in mostly healing and support. Tear doesn't take the offense often but stays in the back buffing up her allies while they take the offense to defend her. She isn't as good of a Spell Caster as Jade Curtiss but her abilities are quite skilled. Tear seems to have a good ability in cooking as well. It isn't top class cooking but she can create edible food and often when it isn't someone else cooking, Tear does it.
Other Weaknesses:
Despite her cold demeanor and lack of emotions outwardly; Tear is a mess on the inside. She is often hit with many conflicts that she cannot truly show. That is another reason why she refused to cry many times during the game until the very end when her emotions weren't able to be controlled. Tear is not as strong as she appears to be. Even with her brother, Van Grants Tear still shows how much she cares about him despite knowing what he was planning and doing were going against all that she believed in. She can never understand her brother's thoughts but she tries to and no matter if he was the villain or not, Van was her brother and she could never truly hate him.
Van is a huge weakness for her. No matter how many times she's called him out on his deeds, she still cares deeply for him. She even runs off from the group a couple of times to try to convince him to stop and turn back but it never seems to work out for her. Even during their head on fights Tear always tried to convince him to stop and whenever she did get a chance to speak to him, she displays a lot of her emotions that she doesn't often show before. Van is like a father to her as well as a brother. Even if he was truly corrupted by his ideals she could not stop loving or caring about him.
Fonic Artes takes a large amount of time to cast and with that it is difficult for her to do much during the casting time. Also, because it is Fonic Artes, it creates a recoil and it takes a while for her to recover from it. During the game with AD Skills it can help her slow the process of recovering and helps her recover from the recoil faster. Fonic Hymns requires Tear to verbally chant or sing out the Hymn in order for it to work. If Tear is unable to speak or use her voice then the Hymns are considered null. Tear has to mark her companions with a special glyph in order to keep them from being damaged by her Fonic Artes. As said in her Psychology, Tear is also very fond of cute things.
She always has her cool but when it comes to cute things it's hard for her to keep her emotions in check. Cute things include any types of plushes, animals, dolls, and even small delicate looking things. Tear also likes feminine things too. AS we can see in the game when she tries on the Maid Outfit at Duke Fabre's Manor, she seemed quite content about it and it suited her quite well which involved her being teased as usual. Tear is self conscious about her own body so when anyone teases her about her breast size or the fact that she has a nice body or a well developed body. You can crack a joke about Melons and she will definitely be flustered. Teasing her about her body causes her to recoil with lot of disagreements.
Tear is extremely afraid of ghosts. She refuses to talk about them and if anyone tries to say anything about, she will say that it's unnecessary and that it's childish or something. Even when Jade told her the story about the crying girl on Mt. Roneal; Tear was definitely terrified but hid it well by telling them that it was a made up childish story. Anything that has to do with ghosts is another weakness for her and she would easily be freaked out by it. This is another rare time that she loses her usual cool and collected attitude. During the events of the game Tear is also susceptible to Lorelei possession because Lorelei sees her as a descendent of Yulia hence burrowed her body. She also suffered from Miasma poisoning due to the lowering of the lands and the disturbance of the Core.
History:
Tear's family originally were inhabitants of the Island of Hod bearing the family name Fende (Tear bearing the name: Mystearica Aura Fende and Van: Vandesdelca Musto Fende.) The Island Hod was destroyed in the Hod war. The Hod war itself left a huge mark on the continent devastated by its effect. The island itself fell into the Qliphoth. At that time Tear's mother was pregnant with her and was thrown in there along with her brother Van. Van used Yulia's Fonic Hymns to save his mother and the unborn Tear from the poisonous effects of the Miasma.
Little is known about her mother, but she did pass away. Tear was then raised by her older brother Van who was the Commandant of the God-Generals and her adoptive grandfather Teodoro the Mayour of Yulia City. When Tear was of age, she joined the Order of Lorelei as a soldier. She suffered rigorous training by Legretta on request of Van. That also gave her a rather tough childhood. She was treated a little ill by her soldier mates because she was trained by Legretta personally. In short she was picked on a couple of times. Tear quickly trained consistently to gain the rank of Locrian Sergeant in the Oracle Knights Intelligence Division. It is a section of the Order of Lorelei that presides over the Score respectively.
As mentioned in her Psychology Tear's cold and detaching personality was the result of her harsh training with Legretta and her wanting her brother's approval. She is also concise and calculating. As the the play through of Tales of the Abyss and Lorelei respectively said, Tear and her family were considered the descendents of Yulia Jue who was the original Fonist that discovered the Seventh Fonon. Tear is the only one to date beside Yulia that was able to use the Grand Fonic Hymn. The Grand Fonic Hymn is a compilation of seven Fonic Hymns which provides those effected by it increase in statistics. As a result it grants the recipients a more or less invincible state for a short amount of time.
Through her own investigation she learned about her brother's plan to destroy the main world. She actually takes an assignment from Grand Maestro Mohs to locate the Seventh Fonstone so that she could pursue her brother in the Outer Lands. Tear crosses a portal that led her to Fabre Manour in which she assumed Van was feigning as Luke's mentor, she attacked him on the spot. Instead of getting Van, however Tear ended up colliding weapons with Luke. She was unaware that he too had possessed the power of the Seventh Fonon. The two of them caused an accidental hyperresonance that sent them halfway across the world to Malkuth.
They landed in Tataroo Valley first. Tear realized very soon that they were no longer in Baticul and she promised to take Like back to the manour. She also apologized for causing him to be spirited halfway across the world. The two of them set out on brief journey back to Baticul without knowing that they were within enemy territory. On their way out of Tataroo Valley they met with a carriage driver. Tear handed him her Mother's precious necklace so that they could pay for the ride there. Eventually Luke gets it back for her during the game from a merchant. The necklace was an important item left by her bother and when equipped gives her a boost in her Fonict Artes and Fonic Defense.
When they were crossing the bridge, Tear and Luke witnessed Colonel Jade Curtiss (at that time they were unaware that it was him and his men) chasing another coach across the Rotelo Bridge. The people in the coach ended up tossing explosives barrels. That destroyed their quickest way out of Malkuth Lands. After the event the two of them moved to Engeve for shelter. There Luke does a lot of things that caused him to be troublesome for Tear but Tear decides to deal with it since it was her fault but she wasn't going to protect his butt for too long. Luke had been accused for stealing because he took an apple without paying. Tear paid for it in the end but Luke was furious when they found who the real culprit was.
That led them to meet Ion first and then Anise briefly. Ion traveled with Tear and Luke to the Cheagle Woods to figure out why Cheagles were stealing food from Engeve's storage. Strangely enough they find out a lot of interesting things such as a family of Ligers that ended up taking refuge and attacking the Cheagles. They had no choice but to steal. It was because of a young Cheagle who accidentally burned down the Ligers' home int he first place. With that it took them a while to eliminate the Liger. Which was a bigger problem because the Liger Queen was supposedly Arietta the Wild's 'Mother,' and Arietta swore to get revenge on them later on.
After that Luke and Tear were taken into custody by Jade. Jade had suspected that Tear and Luke might have been hostile people sent to cross the boarder to cause Malkuth harm. In the end, Tear and Luke explained the situation to him and Jade decided to ask for Luke's help after a long moment of annoying the boy. Luke agreed to let him meet King Ingobert and give the Letter of Peace to him from Emperor Peony. Not soon after their decision was made, the Tartarus, Jade's current battleship had been invaded by the God Generals. The God-Generals thought that Ion was kidnapped when he really wasn't. Fon Master Ion didn't tell them he was leaving though. It was a secret. He was helping Jade make peace with Malkuth and Kimlasca. Since Daath was neutral most of the time Jade asked for his assistance.
They ended up colliding blades with Arietta the Wild, Largo the Black Lion and Legretta the Quick. Tear was surprised to see Legretta not quite understanding the situation. She was trying to help defend her current allies instead. After being in a tight spot for a few long moments, Guy Cecil ends up saving the day and getting them a brief escape route out. With that they continued their journey which led to many things that started to change Tear. She learned more about her brother's deeds and she did not like the sound of it. She was aiming to do anything within her abilities to stop him. Which caused quite many battles and a lot of sorrow and losses.
During these events Tear's affection for Luke started to gradually grow and since he had asked her to watch him after the ordeal with Asch, she had been. She didn't realize it herself that she was in love with him until the very end. Everyone around her knew though. Luke himself was too dense to realize it. After defeating Van, Tear was upset but when Luke told everyone else to leave and he would stay behind she had begged him to come back. He said he would and she whispered the words, 'I love you,' to him. not that Luke heard it. After parting ways with him and understanding what Van was telling her from the very beginning, three years had passed.
On Luke's coming of age Ceremony, Tear refused to go because she didn't think that he was dead. They had his ceremony over his grave. She refused to believe that he died so was in Tataroo Valley watching silently. She met up with all of her old companions and eventually they were all about to leave because of the dangers of Tataroo Valley at night when Tear heard someone walking. Turning her head around she saw him. At least it looked like him. She wasn't sure, but she was the first to approach him and she asked him why he was here. 'Luke,' had said that he made a promise to someone. With that Tear had shed her first tears after a long time. She was rushed with emotions and thus meeting him again made her overjoyed.

The canon point I am taking her from will be as explained below...the first fight with Van before the Epilogue. It was then that everyone thought he had died...but really didn't. He ended up absorbing Lorelei into his body instead. In the history I just tried to narrow it as much as possible. If I am required to do more than this I will do so. ^___^
and official stuff Canon Point: Right after the first fight with Van after he falls into the Core.
Reality Description:
Auldrant is very similar to Earth but the only difference is that it has a year that is twice as a long as Earth. Auldrant is also similar to Earth by having Oceans and bodies of waters surrounding it. Instead of having seasons as Earth does, Auldrant has climate that is similar to its geographic location. Most of the regions lack the seasonal change that Earth has. For example it always snows in Keterburg and it's almost never cold in Baticul. Everything that is part of Auldrant revolves around Fonons or has to do with them.
Fonons are basic particles of sound that are bond atoms together. There are people can draw and harness the powers of the Fonon from the atmosphere. They can create powerful magic-like forces from harnessing these people. They are considered Fonists. The type of people that are able to open up their Fon Slots and draw this power in. In Auldrant these magic forces are called Fonic Artes. There are six different types. These six different types are: Darkness/Shadow, Earth/Gnome, Wind/Sylph, Water/Udine, Fire/Efreet, and Light/Rem. The Seventh Fonon has only been recently discovered and it is called Sound/Lorelei. Lorelei is considered the aggregate sentience of the Seventh Fonon, but its existence has yet to be proven. The Seventh Fonon itself was discovered only two thousand years ago. Theoretically speaking it is a fonic frequency that exists in all living things. It is considered the Fonon of Life.
Fonists can leave large amounts of gathered Fonons creating fields of Fonons in which even non-fonists can use to create elemental attacks ont heir basic abilities. For example, we'll use Tear. Tear can use the attack Pow Hammer. It's suppose to stun the enemy in battle but doesn't always work, but if she steps into a field of Fonon of water created by a Fonist, for example Jade Curtiss using one of his Water Based Fonic Artes and it leaves a large collection of fonons creating that field of fonon then Pow Hammer adapts the water ability creating Frozen Hammer, in which creates frozen hammers that rain onto the enemy. These fields of Fonons can give the users interesting elemental attributes to their attacks but at the same time they do not stick around for a log period of time.
The Seventh Fonon itself was discovered only two thousand years ago. Theoretically speaking it is a fonic frequency that exists in all living things. It is considered the Fonon of Life. With this there are many people gifted with the ability to manipulate and use Fonons as forms of offensive attacks, healing and status buffs. While the first through sixth fonons can controlled and use corresponding to the Fonists, a Seventh Fonist is considered almost a rarity. Not many can manipulate and harness the powers of the Seventh Fonon. These types of Fonists can use abilities like healing, hymnists and those who have the ability to be scorers. It is not limited to how many abilities they have. Healers can do many things such as healing injuries to restoring their companions from status ailments. In some cases they can even use these abilities to status buff their companions. Scorers can read scores, but they are unable to see into the future. A Fonist by the name of Yulia Jue was said to have made a covenant with Lorelei the supposed Aggregate sentience of the Seventh Fonon. The hymnists who were born as descendants of Yulia Jue were suppose receive Lorelei's promise.
We'll jump into political powers next. There are three of them, Kimlasca-Lanvaldear, The Malkuth Empire and the Order of Lorelei. Kimlasca is known for their fontech studies and fontechnology, while Malkuth is known for their studies of Fonic Artes and usages of these fonic artes. The Order of Lorelei is a large religious power that sits almost in the center of these two powerful nations. The Leader and the highest ranking person in the Order of Lorelei is none other than Fon Master Ion. Despite being the absolute leader of the Order, there is a man by the name of Mohs who aims to eventually get rid of Ion and claim himself as the leader. This Organization's goal is to uphold the Score, and protect as well as follow Yulia's Score. The Order has its own military branch and the Oracle Knights led by Tear's older brother: Commandant Van Grants and the Six God Generals. The Score itself holds many powers over Auldrant's people.
People will go as far as to see predictions and events such as simply having breakfast but there are those who do not approve of the Score's upholding and refuse to follow its predictions but will as far as trying to destroy it as soon as possible.
The Outer Lands in truth were supported by energy structures known as the Sephiroth Trees that reside over the planet's molten mantle and the core. These Sephiroth Trees are supported by rings in which if destroyed could cause the land to crumble and fall apart. Another Example, Luke was forced tor destroy the Rings of the Sephiroth Tree by creating a hyperresonance on Van's order. With that the crust as raised by the Sephiroth Trees in order to prevent its citizens from the poisonous gas that is produced by the core. The core produces toxic fumes that are called Miasma. It is dangerous for any human being to be exposed to long periods of Miasma Fumes. We have to also note that due to the usage of her Fonic Artes, Tear is succumbed to this poisoning due to the tainted Seventh Fonons that she absorbs into her body in order to perform Fonic Artes.
The people that did not escape this fate are bound together creating Yulia City. The city of watchers. They watch the Outer Lands from afar. They also Ensure that the Score is passed to the high ranking members at all cost. They are seers who silently watch and gradually protect its people from afar.

[ A woman with light brown hair and blue eye appears on the screen. Her uniform appears to be familiar in a sense. Perhaps it was the design or the intricate details of the uniform. She seemed to be expressionless at the moment, covering up what appeared to be sadness for a brief second but it clearly diminished as she started to walk. It seemed like the Sephiroth Trees and Van were gone. She had only glimpsed that last moment before she found herself standing here confused.
She hid it well, keeping a straight face as she looks around the Plane. Her fingers coiled together lightly as she tried to figure out where she was and at the same time she was being skeptical and defensive. If anything suspicious comes she would not take a moment to strike. ]

[ There's sharp pain. She must have strained herself earlier. Tear doesn't recall if she had any medication left to sustain the mild pain that was there. It slowly disappeared though, since there was no reason for her to be exhausted or ill. There didn't seem to be any Miasma here or else her body would have reacted much worse. ]
There isn't much time left, I must find everyone and figure out what has happened.

[ Tear had fallen asleep again...quietly. It had been a few days and she was restless. Van had fallen into the Core. It left her a lot to think about. Her brother, and Majour Legretta who had also perished. The two people that were very important to her. It seemed like she was restlessly dreaming again.
In her silent slumber she had dreamed about her brother. His figure translucent in the darkness. ]
...Why did it come to this...Van...? Is there nothing else I can do. You're suppose to be--
[ She stops...Van didn't say anything. He seemed to be looking at her with a gentle gaze. An outstretched hand in the dark space. ]
Va--Brother...I-
[ He's disappearing. She follows. He's moving further and further away as the girl eventually starts running after him in the darkness. ] Don't go. There are many things I want to ask you Van...please.
[ She didn't understand why...She just kept running and running until he wasn't there anymore and she was left alone in the darkness. Eventually Tear wakes up from the dream, her eyes had a glazed over appearance as she sits up from the bed. ]
If I had known sooner...it wouldn't have to be like this. [ She mused lightly closing her eyes and clouding over the emotional pain she was feeling. From her memory he was gone and she had to move on, but the thought of victor in this situation was not pleasant at all. She felt anything but content.
Pushing the sheets off the bed, Tear eventually gets off the bed even though it was clearly still dark outside. There was no use sleeping anymore. She was wide awake and the past kept coming back to haunt her. Her most regrettable battle. She knew it was difficult fighting her own brother but she didn't realize it was this difficult. Still there was nothing she could do at the moment... ]
Third Person Writing Sample:
It had been a few days since Tear had found herself here. A few days to let the small things slowly sink in. She wasn't in Auldrant anymore. That and there were strange but fascinating things in this strange new world. She had briefly made her way down this these paths as she was trying to find her companions. She found and information area in which gave her quite a lot of information that she was looking for. Despite all that, there were some things here in this Astral Plane that made it intriguing to her. There were unfamiliar things that she had to learn the mechanisms of and there are others in which appear rather familiar. Things that were relating to her home. They brought back interesting memories. Nevertheless she still had an expressionless face even on the thought of these nostalgic memories.
Taking another step she glanced at the nearby area before continuing. Her hands were coiled slightly and almost too natural against her thigh. One can never be too careful in a place like this. She knew that there weren't many bad people to look out for, but she had to keep her guard up just in case something happened. She wouldn't allow herself a moment to relax. If she relaxed that meant that she would be full of openings and if taken advantage by the openings she would be unfit to fulfill her role as a solider. Her hands coiled again closer to her thigh this time listening out for any signs of anyone approaching. She had hidden weapons in a small compartment in her clothes and with fast reflexes, she could easily draw these to defend herself against the enemy. At least whoever the enemy was.
She stopped again as if she was hearing something in the distance. It didn't take long for her to figure out that it wasn't anything she should be worried about. A she was quietly strolling down the Astral Plane and taking it in, she was thinking about the previous events that had happened. She wasn't around to see what had happened after Van's death. At least she believed he was dead. She was quite unaware of the fact that her brother was far from that. At least at the current period of time she was taken from. She had many things she had wanted to tell her brother before his death but she couldn't muster the strength to tell him all that. When she did get a chance to speak to Van, it was always about trying to stop him from destroying the world and overthrowing the Score. Even with Majour Legretta it was pretty much the same story.
Tear was also quite stubborn like her brother and stood to her own beliefs no matter how many times that her brother had tried to convince her otherwise. She had thought about it quietly and not matter how she looked at it, destroying a whole planet was not worth it. People can change. She knew that yet Van refuses to acknowledge it completely. It made it painful for her to have to fight against him constantly, but she did it and instead of feeling content like she should for stopping her brother, she felt a strange sadness. It was as if she had lost a part of herself. She was in pain but she hid it well from the others. Her expressions only cracked briefly showing her pain before it was quickly covered up with that Soldier mask. She needed to keep her bearing. No matter who it was she couldn't show her weakness. If she did she was not a soldier. She took her job seriously.
To the point that tears were of no meaning. She had to grasp her feelings again and get used to having them. The things she had said and done were quite cold and straight forward, but that was just how she was as a person. She had always wanted her brother to acknowledge her for what she had done. She wanted to be useful to him. At least before all this. Now, it was a different story. She was unsure of what to think about the whole situation.
