Heh heh! I DO know what you mean about being the last of the line--I'm an only child. And I was pretty much considered the "good egg" out of the numerous grandchildren. (My Mom was 1 of 12.) So, every guy I dated was under some serious scrutiny, and if we went out more 3 times, my aunts and cousins always wanted to start planning the wedding. LOL! Well, I showed them: I dated my husband for 3 years before we got engaged, and then we were engaged for 2 years before getting married. Drove everyone crazy. LOL!

lol, someone who knows my pain! Even though I'm not an only child, I am the last female of child-bearing age and everyone's given up on my brother settling down. I just made it worse by not actually dating until now.

lol, but that's the way to do it! I can't understand how people can just marry after knowing each other for only a year or so. You're still strangers until you've spent a good few years around them.
