This feel like it might be becoming a habit...

I have the oddest feeling my internet device and my laptop are conspiring against me to completely stop working... More so just my laptop. Even though I've run all the programs I have to keep it in shape, I find myself crossing my fingers and hoping desperately for it to turn on. I'm terrified of installing the update for it tonight because I have ( Read more... )

I know that feeling of impending doom that can come over you when there are updates looming to be installed. For some reason, that's a prime time for things to go wrong--especially with Vista. I hope everything still works tomorrow!

The reason the update last night scared me so much is because when I installed the updates a few days ago, it started a problem with my computer.

Vista just does not inspire any type of security with its security updates.

I love historical fiction when it has a lot in it. Some events are just full of intrigue and plots and some many other things that it's a disservice to write less about it.

I saw bits and pieces of the film adaption and wished I could have watched more of it. It seemed like it followed the book very closely in everything.

I remember when a vista update killed my computer and I had to do a system restore for windows. Personally I'm going to jump ship to that Windows 7 when I get the chance. I keep hearing that it's 100x better than Vista.

I remember you making a post about that! The reason this one scared me more so than all the other ones is because the security update before it caused the problem that I've been having until this update.

I don't have much faith in Windows 7. It seems like it's just a completely new system that's going to have a bunch of new problems that people like me are going to discover in the first ten minutes.

Yeah I've heard good things about windows 7 from the tech heads, but still there will always be problems. They should just start selling windows XP again.

kind of take a note from Capcom like when they went back and made Mega Man 9 all 8-bit.. ya know, just go with what works.

Yeah, I've been hearing some good things about it. But I've also been hearing about some new features and I just know that's going to be a disaster for a while.

lol, they really should! Windows XP was one of the best computers I ever had and still pine to have. If it isn't broke, then they shouldn't bother fixing it.

What a nice short review! That's the kind of review I wish I could write. But once I started writing, I just kept typing and typing and typing and it was crazy. I couldn't stop typing. I'm going to try again using yours as an influence. :3

I know exactly how that is. I try to stay away from content as much as possible when writing reviews.

If you want to look at a couple more for some help, clicking on the tag will show you the other two I've posted here.

I'm pretty suspicious of my internet and laptop too. My laptop once stopped working after I installed one of the regular Windows updates. It froze whenever I hit any of the keys. I uninstalled, then reinstalled the keyboard, and then it was fine. Very weird. I still expect mine to stop working any day, though. Definitely time for a new one.

That's just crazy! I don't even want to imagine my laptop freezing like that as I don't know enough about computers to do that. But the update I installed only a couple of days before this one caused a problem which I was almost sure that this update would be the killing blow.
