-Alexander Wilcox. His last name is taken from Call of Cthulhu's Henry Anthony Wilcox, the artist who sculpted a bas-releif of the Outer God in question. In fact, he's a descendant of the aforementioned artist. I used "Alexander" for his first name because ... well... cos like the name.
-Quite frankly, I created him as part of a half-assed attempt to write a modern follow-up to Call, in the style of a nautical disaster film. His father, obsessed with finding out all he about Cthulhu and his family history concerning such, gets together a crew of explorers and whatnot, drags his son along, and disaster hijinks ensue.
-Alexander was born blind. Even though his father was devoted top taking care of him, especially after mum died, he also plans to put his son's inability to see to good use--after all, if one cannot see or R'yleh, one will come out of the experience much saner, right?
-Haven't come up with much of a story for him yet.
I can't use this one? What I meant is that I haven't come up with his future, yet.
And... well, it more or less worked. He was one of the few people who a) survived, and b) didn't end up in a rubber room. The story never really got that well fleshed-out, and I plucked him from before the story actually happened for the Nexus.
some questions: how much of a zen master is he? Does he have formal training in any school of thought, or has he made up his own techniques, and how does Gallyfreyan meditation differ from human techniques, either Eastern or Western philosophies?
Would you consider Rassilon to be "enlightened?"
Has he dined at the Resturant at the End of the Universe or something similar? Did he like it?
Hmmm. Rassilon. He's more my character than the BBC's by now, innee? Considering they barely did anything with him.
-Dunno about the name or the creation, best ask...uhm...uh... Robert Holmes, I think. Possibly Terrance Dicks. Or Marc Platt. Too bloody many Dr. Who writers. ENNYroad. MY Rassilon. Which reminds me, he needs a family name. Back on track--I originally started developing his character for some fic or other. I was tired of the "Time Lord legend turning out to be evil" thinger they'd already lumbered Omega with twice, so I figured he'd be as random as possible--Not really dark or evil or any of that nonsense they seem to be so fond of these days as much as... chaotic good. Anyone that brilliant can't be sane. Hence things like an aversion to shoes and wearing any less than four different colours at a time, and that off-the-wall sense of humour. I think that's the key thing I came up with for him--I wanted him to have a sense of humour. Too many Time Lords are all. So. Very. Serious
( ... )
-His first name is actually a name I've used for a few characters here and there in various stories. I always liked the name. I always figured my nonexistant son'd be named Alistair. His last name was a bit more random. I just pulled a likely-looking surname off the credits of some show or other.
-Creation. Alistair was originally a character I created for a HERO system tabletop RPG. He's been more or less imported exactly from that to the Nexus. Granted, it's pretty obvious where I got the idea of his appearance, powers, and major limitation from. >.< However, while he originally started out in the Nexus as your typical angsty bishie, he quickly developed an actual personality, most bishies.
-Backstory. Hm. His grandmother is, or, rather, was an albino, as well. It's kinda scattered about his mum's ancestry. Nobody in his family are mutants, though, that he knows of. He has no siblings.
-Future... well, than concept that I've GOT to get him into the Nexus more so that he can find a girlfriend, much.-

-Ask questions! Questions, I say!

1. The version in the Nexus, what's his history? Come up with one!
2. So, did being blind work?
