It's funny how you can call a place Hell for years, and completely forget why. I haven't spent any time in Irvine since the brotherhood went to Canada (that would be since high school), so I forgot how impossible that place is ( Read more... )

Once, when I was in the Bay Area driving home from work, I saw a Caltrans sign on the 101 saying "Road Work next 430 miles". I thought about it for a bit, and decided that I could almost believe it. Sadly the next day the dirt clod obscuring the decimal point came down, but I still treasure that moment.

Yeah, I'd believe that. Especially on the 101 between the bay area and LA...I swear they think no one lives there.

Caltrans always feels the need to start serious construction work on the street right outside my window at 3AM. :D EVERY NIGHT. :DDD
