I do not have much to say concerning the situation at hand, but to those of you who think the Royal Guard isn't doing their absolute best to gain control over the situation... Why don't you tell me what you think we should do differently?

If the job of the Royal Guard is to be pompous and condescending, I'd give them a perfect score. If, however, it is as it is on paper, supposedly intervening in cases of anima abuse? No. Protecting citizens? I'd give that a big no as well. The trader should have been jailed long ago, not allowed to run free and keep anima in shoddy conditions.

Then what would you have had us do? Start an investigation that might have compromised his business? Apprehend him without solid proof? We will make sure the culprits are caught.

I'm sure that several dozen abused Anima would happily come for-oh wait, I forgot. Those aren't people.

The Aquilla is doing what the you 'guard' turn a blind eye to. Correcting abuses, despite the vigilante way he or she does so. When those of you can come down from your pedestal, then perhaps you can see that fancy talk does nothing.

Ah, but I shan't hold my breath.

How amusing it seems with you claiming we are on our pedestals, when the one passing judgment and apparently thinks he's in the right to tell the Royal Guard they're wrong, is you, friend. Hiding behind the anonymity of these journals must feel comforting for you, no? Otherwise, wouldn't you rather tell the Guards these complaints face to face?

This exchange makes me curious. Supposing, god forbid, in the future I have some complaint against the guard. I would be interested to see if you would dismiss this cripple, young man, with the same rudeness ( ... )

That would depend on the complaints, I'm sure.

Your thought on the matter is noted.

I only have one thing to say. It was rather a waste of the guards time to round up all the usual suspects. I was grabbed off a bench and dragged in for questioning when it's obvious I had nothign to do with the situation. I did get a meal from it. You royal guards do know how to feed a man.

I hope it was good, and sorry for the inconvenience.

The meal was excellent. Best food I've had in a while. Maybe it might be good PR to feed vagrents more often. After all, we're everywhere...and one of us might have information on things you're investigating. Not me of course. I can't eve remember what yu guys asked me. But for others who can, a good meal might just help encourage looser lips. Just saying.

I would think that soliciting opinion through a public forum such as this would be generally ill-advised.

Yes. My apologies.
