[Fanfiction:] Easy Mathematics (One-Shot)

Jun 22, 2009 22:08

... It's really not like I was bored. I actually just have too much of this in my head.
And, sunshine friends, I've promised some Tegomass Fluff a while ago, didn't I?

So, here we go with another Oneshot. I don't know how long I can keep it up, I've never been writing as much as recently, but it's probably just due to the end of Fade into the Background. I need something to write on and I lack inspiration for a Multichap fanfiction.
Aaaaah.

Okay, whatever~ I'm not insane or anything. *coughes*

Title: Easy Mathematics
Pairing: Tegomass /// with mentions of RyoPi ///
Genre: Lovely, oh, so lovely Fluff <3
Rating: Completely safe (as expected for fluff XD)
Disclaimer: I own nothing; you own the world.
Summery: Some simple theories of Tegoshi.

A/N: May I add at this point that I wrote an Akame Multichap, so I actually like Jin? Don't get me wrong here, it's a fact that Tegoshi just can't lose XDDDDD

Have fun <3333

Easy Mathematics

Masuda raised his head as Tegoshi came into their changing room. He closed the door behind him firmly and pushing his things out of the way, he sat down in his corner of the room then.

Just looking at his friend’s face Masuda knew what was wrong. He had lost in something.

“Did you have a soccer match yesterday?”, he asked. “You didn’t tell me.”

“No, I didn’t. I’m having one next week.” It wasn’t really a pout, but Tegoshi’s face definitely showed an expression of disapproval.

Putting his script aside, Masuda turned to him. “What did you lose in then?”

Now Tegoshi raised one hand, holding a magazine. “He’s third place.”

“Who? In what?”

“The man they would want to marry”, Tegoshi just explained. “I’m not in that list.”

As usual, Masuda thought and frowned. “You never are in those lists, Tegoshi. Whether it’s the most popular, the most handsome, nicest, best looking; you’re never in.”

“And if I’m in, I’m number 69 or something. That’s the problem.”

Of course. Masuda sighed. Tegoshi just was competitive in everything. “And why are you mad at the person in the third place and not the ones in the first and second?”

What Tegoshi put on his lips now was definitely a pout. “Because I hate to lose to people I don’t like.”

Now Masuda got the point and turned away again with a sigh. “You’ll never beat Akanishi, so don’t even bother about it.”

“Massu!” Tegoshi sat up now and leaned forward. “He hates me.”

“He doesn’t even know you, Tegoshi”, the older one replied and looked into his script. “Why should he?”

“I know he does. He always picks on me or ignores me completely. Or he would make mean statements when I’m around. I know he does that on purpose; he wants to make me angry. That’s why I can’t lose to him.” The brunette got up and wandered through the room. “I need to knock him out.”

“We’re talking about Akanishi Jin here, Tegoshi. He’s not your league”, Masuda said without looking up from his script.

“But I don’t see why I’m never in those lists”, Tegoshi complained. “Even you have better rankings than me.”

Now the other one looked at him and raised his eyebrows. “What do you mean by…”

“But you know”, Tegoshi interrupted him without even realizing what he had said. “I can see why girls would want to marry Massu.”

Forgetting what the younger one had said first, Masuda smiled. “Do you?”

“Sure. You’re a nice guy. You’d make a nice boyfriend. But Akanishi…” Tegoshi frowned and titled his head. “I really can’t see his good points.”

Masuda shook his head and again looked into his script. “Well, he’s handsome, sexy and pretty.”

“But cold and indifferent and so damn arrogant.”

“Apparently, the girls like that.”

Tegoshi sighed and sat down next to Masuda. “I’m sure they wouldn’t if they knew how badly he treats cute Tegoshi-kun.”

Masuda laughed slightly. “That’s probably why the girls never vote for you.”

Shaking his head the younger one leaned against the back rest of the couch. “No, by now I’m quite popular with the fans. I’m just another type than Akanishi.”

“If you know that, why do we even have this conversation then?”

Tegoshi shrugged his shoulders and then gave Masuda one of his drama-looks. “Because I’m bullied by a senpai.”

“Well, if that’s the case”, Masuda replied and gave him a quick look “you’d better talk to Yamapi or Ryo about it, since I definitely won’t go and tell Akanishi to stop.”

“I couldn’t do that, Massu!”

“Eh?” Neglecting his script again Masuda gave him a curious look.

“They are friends. I can’t possibly go and tell them what a bad person he is.” Tegoshi sighed. “They like him.”

“And that means you can’t be honest?”

“No”, the younger male said. “But that’s as if Shige would come to me and tell me how annoying he thinks Kei-chan is.”

Masuda thought about that for a moment. “Because he’s your best friend”, he concluded then and looked at Tegoshi in curiosity.

He nodded. “See. I wouldn’t want to hear that. It would hurt me, since he’s my best friend.”

Masuda tried to ignore that it slightly pierced his heart. He had always thought he was Tegoshi’s most important and best friend. Even though, he managed to nod. “But, in that case, it wouldn’t be Akanishi, would it?”

Tegoshi frowned. “What do you mean?”

“The very best friend. It’s not Akanishi.” Masuda looked back into his script; afraid, Tegoshi could probably read his expression. “That would be more like you’d go to Ryo and tell him how much you dislike Yamapi, don’t you think?”

For a moment it remained silent between them while Masuda pretended to read his lines and Tegoshi thought about that.

“No”, the younger boy answered then and waited for Masuda to turn his head to him again. “That’s not the same as with Kei-chan and me.”

“Not?”

“Ryo-chan loves Yamapi”, Tegoshi simply said and smiled at Masuda. “That’s why that would be more like Shige would come to me telling me how much he dislikes you.”

Masuda just stared at Tegoshi for a few seconds, not quite sure if he got that right; then he managed another nod.

The brunette got up to his feet energetically and stretched himself. “In any case, I won’t consult anyone about it. Neither Ryo-chan nor Yanmapi. I can stand up for myself, right?”

Masuda still stared at him and just nodded again; his expression still confused.

“I will never lose!” Tegoshi gave him a smile, before he turned around and left the room again.

Not quite sure whether that just had been a confession, Masuda released the breath he had been holding unconsciously and looked at the door.

He then managed to laugh a bit and shake his head.

That was probably a logic only Tegoshi could really understand, but in whatever way he had meant that, it had left Masuda a warm feeling.
