いのち輝くとき ~ When Life Shines
頑張りすぎるなよ と人から言われても
山のすきな人間は やっぱり山へ登る
北極を目指す人間は やっぱり北極へ行く
ー計画と準備と強じんな魂を支えにして
Even when people tell them, "Don't strain yourself,"
Those who love mountains will end up climbing mountains
Those who seek to go to the North Pole will end up going to the North Pole
-- Relying on their planning, their preparation, and their tremendous spirit/will
ほんとうに好きだから それが出来る
ちゃんと目標があるから それが出来る
ただの思いつきでないから それが出来る
It is because they truly love to do so, that they are able to do so
It is because they have a true goal, that they are able to do so
It is because [what they do] isn't done on a whim, that they are able to do so
少しぐらい頑固に頑張りすぎたっていい
少しぐらい自分の意思を通したっていい
少しぐらい不眠不休の心弾む時間を持ち
好きなことのために無理したっていい
It's alright to be a little stubborn and try too hard
It's alright to [be a bit selfish and] follow what you want to do
It's alright to spend a little time going without rest or sleep, indulging yourself
It's alright to be a little unreasonable when it comes to [doing] the things that you love [to do]
自分にも＜いのち輝くとき＞があること
自分にも限りなく美しい瞬間があること
ーそれを知るために生きたっていいのだ
That we may have "a time when life shines"
That we may have moments of boundless/infinite beauty
-- It's alright to live in such a way so that we come to know these moments
