so i broke my left ankle this morning. i took my puppy to the dog park and as i was walking around the lake, i fell into a hole, went down...heard it snap. new it wasnt good. walked all the way around the lake, back to my car, pulled out of the dog park and called my dad, letting him know i had to go to the hospital. got home, dad put the puppy

Trust me - if you could/can keep walking on it and it's broken then you won't need surgery.... i broke my ankle in March and have had to have 2 surgeries to repair it ...ugh! Did they give you an air cast to help support it until your ortho appointment?

i have a plaster splint on it until my ortho appointment. i hope that you are healing up...that sucks that you had to have two surgeries....

First surgery was the day after the accident - started walking again on May 7th in a walking boot (which you will probably get in the long run) - May 22nd I couldn't bare weight anymore and had a lump - fibula had a hairline fracture that cracked ... another surgery and two more screws on June 2nd ... in the long run I should be ok, thank god for FLMA and accident insurance .... ironically enough I was scooter riding at the time and the scooter is perfectly fine...sigh!
