i remember crying in school because my teacher insisted that pigs are brown. but i knew i was right, the pigs in my grandfather's farm WERE pink, unless they're special pigs--i thought to myself. Well, some had brown spots but they were pink, nonetheless

just like when i was in grade 2. nakipagaway ako sa lahat ng classmates ko and sa teacher ko. we were asked if humans were animals. i was the only one who said yes and they all laughed at me. but i still insisted, as in firm with my stand. i rationalized that we are mammals, thus we are animals - and they continued laughing.

i've learned to forgive primary school teachers for their tyranny and ignorance.

one unforgettable episode was a teacher insisting that mercury is smaller than pluto. she had DECS' science book to prove it. pfft. we know how erroneous books were then, and even now.

ass kissing classmates agreed with the teacher. lil me who read national geographic mags all the time was scandalized.

pfft. one major geeky moment. lol.

Ayun, I remember a Science Quiz grade six sa probinsiya. GRADE 6. The question was "How many sex organs do males have?" SYEMPRE sagot ko DALAWA. DALAWA ang testis kaya. Sagot nila lahat isa DAW! PAti teacher sabi isa daw! Explain ako, sabi ko "DALAWA po ang sex organ ng guys, pero isa lang ang copulatory organ." GRADE 6.
