Some of my artwork, friends. just so you know
please comment/ critique if you have something
i did this with my sensory self portrait
related to women's crafts and a genaeological asthetic--family and tradition. I also did a really big weaving like this, about 45 feet in diameter but it's tough to photograph
details from my 50 ft long notecard sketchbook with all my thoughts and ideas
a self portrait that is unfortunatley unfinished (i ran out of time from the home test)
another self portrait that is part of a larger piece i'm doing of my whole family, a ton of dots that will make up a very large dot
a kitchy print that i imajine mass produced in the sticks and familys would chow down on christian sandwiches or something, called 'fluff'
these are the 'appendages' little rorshack inkblots to which i have assigned the identity of body parts, bones or whatever
fortune cookies are serious and so is chewing gum
a southern expression my exboyfriend used once, it was stupid, i liked his teeth so much
part of a project i did on homelessness
I also do a lot of weird color photography, religious icons made out of chewed up candy, and vegetable sculptures with synthetic hair as a part of an investigation into the relationship between nature and the mass produced that occurs in a growing city. (love love sculpture but limited rescources--everything ends up all kitchy cuz i'm using everyday materials)
