Memories - Maya x Aiji [ LM.C ]

Oct 05, 2008 21:18

2 years later…

“Aiji! Look!” Maya ran up to his lover with a stained sheet of paper.

“What’s this?” Aiji grabbed the paper and looked it down.

“I wrote this song a long time ago.” Maya explained. “Remember the engraving that was on the ring you gave me? Well, about a year later, I finally understood what you meant… and I wrote a song. Read it!”

Aiji scanned through the paper, interpreting the meaning as he went. Then he looked through the last line.

泣いたあとも傷跡も抱えたまま歩いてゆけばいい.

“Aw. I know that phrase.” Aiji smiled and kissed the taller man. “And I think I know a tune that could go with it.” And he looked at the of the page, “88.”

--------------------------------------------------

After few months…

“*夜空に描かれた 星を繋ぐ物語 その胸(むね)焦がれる幻想 忘れはしないだろう 回り道に咲いてた花 泣いたあとも傷跡も抱えたまま歩いてゆけばいい”

Maya’s voice rang through the last note as the guitar and keyboards finished the song.

“That was the best rehearsal you guys!” Maya grabbed a lollipop from his stash. “We should just clean up. No more work~~~!” Maya waved his hands around after he opened his candy and stuck it in his mouth.

“So, what are we doing tonight?” Aiji walked up to the taller man.

“It’s a secret!” Maya stuck his tongue out under his lolli so it wouldn’t fall out. He pranced out of the studio and yelled, “Be ready to be picked up at eight o’clock!”

“Where are you going to be?” Aiji yelled back.

“Not where you are~!” And Maya left the building.

“Ah. Whatever.”

A couple hours later,, Maya was found at the house of the band’s “hair make-up lady” (sorry, stolen from Nao from alice nine.).

“Can you… do it like this?” He showed her the picture.

“Aw, you wanna make it special for Aiji-kun?” She asked cutely.

“Yeah.”

“Of course I can! But it’ll take a while.”

Aiji waited, and waited, and waited. He was dressed in a tuxedo with a silver tie with gold stars, large and small. The tie was actually something Maya had gotten him for his birthday. Two years with the blonde had been heaven for the other. Aiji loved the other man since they were in high school. He regretted leaving the freshman after he had graduated, but he fulfilled his dream, and twelve years later, he fulfilled his other dream; to be loved by the most beautiful man in the world.

A Stretch-Hummer pulled into the apartment’s parking lot and a unfamiliar man exited and came to Aiji’s door.

“Mizui Shinji?” the man asked.

“Are you my ride to who-knows-where?”

“If you are Mizui Shinji, then I believe so.”

“Alright, let’s go.”

A couple hours later, the car stopped in front of a set of piers along the Sea of Japan. In front of one, there was a enormous yacht, which he supposed was his destination. Maya always had a thing for the sea and the stars.

“I am not to follow you in, but the yacht is where Masahito-san is.” The chauffeur stated.

“Thank you.” Aiji left the vehicle and walked over to the yacht and entered the ship. “Maya!” he yelled.

“Excuse me sir, Masahito-san is this way.” The butler led the way through a small hallway. The disappeared into the open sky, filled with sun about to set and no clouds to be seen. A familiar face was seen look out into the sea. He turned around and an audible gasp was heard. Maya was wearing a long, deep purple, floral kimono with stars swirling out of control, but in the most beautiful way. His hair had been tied up into a tight bun with strands curled on the sides of his face. The purple hairpin from long ago was stuck in his hair with the star dangling from the side of his bun. The black hairclip was also in his hair, placed where the bun contacted his scalp. His make-up was layers and layers of eyeliner (of course) and his shiny lip gloss. He was wearing dark purple contacts that went with his kimono and his bow on his back.

“Oh my god.” Aiji came closer to Maya cautiously, not wanting to break the porcelain doll. “You are so beautiful.” He placed his hand on Maya’s cheek, feeling the coolness of it.

“There’s one for you too!” Maya grabbed his hand and dragged him inside. “Please take him to the bedroom and have him wear what’s on the bed. Don’t let him get out without it on and perfect.”

“What?! No Maya! I don’t want to wear it!” Aiji was dragged off into unknown hallways leading to a luxurious room with a yukatas lying on the bed.

Finally, the door closed and Aiji stripped off his tuxedo and put on the yukata. “Might as well get this over with.” He took a look at the clothing; it was a bright blue with just little swirls that come from the edge of the material.

He exited the room after a couple minutes and tracked back to the outside, finding Maya looking out again.

“Come on! The sun’s about to set!” Aiji hurried along, as fast as he could with the uncomfortable sandals to the railing. The sun was on the rim of the curvature of the Earth. As the sun sank, Maya wrapped his arm around the older one’s waist.

After ten minutes of silence, the sun set peacefully, leaving back the beautiful colors like differing hues of pinks, reds and oranges.

“If I’m the beautiful sunrise of that one day, can you be the sunset of today?”
