It's funny, I have read so much fic that you lose track of it sometimes. But there's the standouts you think you've completely forgotten that make you want to go back and reread them. Till you can't bloody well find them again. GRRRR ( Read more... )

I thought it may have been the novel 'Death in Winter' picked that up last night and reread just to make sure.. sadly no. It's definately a fic, and its WAY old. It's also about 2 computers ago so there's no way in hell I'd have a saved copy. CRY
The quest continues!

Seriously though - if you're after a trek fix, try trekiverse dot org. siftworthy but there is some SERIOUSLY good fic on there.

That's seriously annoying!

You should try a ficfinders comm, too. I'm sure there'd be a ST one about, maybe even one specific to TNG. I know there's ones for BSG and DW cos I use them.

There's also the possibilty the author took it down; sadly it happens. Or archives go down and aren't restored (all my fave B5 fanfic went that way. boohoo!)

Ta for the ficfinders com, I've posted a request there to see if someone can help find said fic, seiously it's driving me NUTS. I gotta start saving the goodstuff for 'ron' if you know what I mean :) do you still write? I havn't written fic for a year or so (last one I wrote was a Sanctuary fic) but I still am involved in a couple of Trek RPG's so the muse still gets a solid workout!

Things are good here, enjoying a lovely 10 days off all 3 jobs (minus 1 6am class on Wednesday.. seriously.. who schedules that?) Lots of food, wine, chocolate and the like - I'm gonna end up the size of a house!

Sonbon - you ROCK! I can't believe you found that - I've been looking for weeks.
Now all I need is a glass of red and some chocolate and I have the evenings entertainment :)

Well, I have always said if I can't research something in two moves or less it is not worth researching. The rest of the archive looks rather good as well. Enjoy
