Summary:I have no idea on how I'm going to post a summary for this so just read?
It wasn't like he planned for all of this to happen. All he wanted was some freedom, he wanted to be able to experience the rights that SM had been denying him for years. He wanted to be able to do things freely without the company constantly breathing down his neck, checking every move like he was some kind of criminal. And within months time everything was decided, he himself along with Yoochun and Junsu would head to court and ask for their freedom.
And now years after everything had happened Jaejoong still thinks about how things could've been, no would've been different if they had not done what they did. But he does not regret it. During the first few months he admitted that his life had felt like hell. He missed the constant bickerings he heard every morning from Junsu and Changmin with Yoochun tagging along always siding with Changmin just for the hell of annoying Junsu, but most of all, he missed Yunho. He missed the way the man would hug him while he cooked, missed the way the man kissed him senseless when his insecurities had gotten the better of him, always reminding him that he was not alone, and that he had Yoochun,Junsu,Changmin, and most of all Yunho to help him get through. If anything there's only one thing he would ever regret for leaving SM, it was that he had not been able to convice Yunho and Changmin to go with them. It was only a matter of time before things started to fall apart. And 2 years into their hiatus, Dong Bang Shin Ki had ended.
Jaejoong sat down on the floor as he looked though the many photographs he had of them when they were still DBSK. He stopped at a particular picture of him and Yunho. It was back in 2007 when all five of them went to Paris. He smiled knowing how much trouble he had gone to just to get a copy of the picture. It was from the ferris wheel they rode when they were filming for Bonjour Paris. He remembered how he leaned into Yunho's ear and whispered for the man to smile at the camera. Jaejoong laughed at the memories. He shook his head and continued looking through.
Halfway through the album his phone rang. It was Yoochun and Junsu asking him if he wanted to meet with them later on in the day, he smiled to himself and agreed. It's been almost a month since they last had any contact and almost 10 years since he last saw Yunho and Changmin. Both Yoochun and Junsu had both decided to go to Vegas for a vacation and today was the day that they were supposed to arrive. As soon as the call ended Jaejoong hung up the phone and headed towards his bedroom. He lied down and looked at the framed picture of him and Yunho on their last outing before that fateful day, and smiled.
"I still love you Yunho-ah, you know that right?"
It was almost 12 when he woke up and he remembered that he was supposed to meet with Yoochun and Junsu. Quickly getting dressed he headed for their favorite cafe.
He opened the door and saw that almost everyone had turn towards him. He looked around trying to find Yoochun and Junsu and spotted them at the very corner of the cafe. He looked at Yoochun and Junsu and even without meaning to he couldn't help but get jealous. Over the years the two men had gotten closer and there were times where he wished he had Yunho with him just like Yoochun and Junsu had each other.
He made his way over to the couple and sat down. Junsu who as always was too hyper about everything had started to talk about his vacation with Yoochun in Vegas, he talked about the fake pyramids, the lights, and he talked about the things that he wasn't able to see the last time they went there for a photoshoot back in 2008, but the biggest surprise of all? Junsu and Yoochun had taken their relationship to the next level and had gotten married. Now that got him.
Two hours within their conversation Jaejoong turned around at the sound of the door opening. His eyes widened as Changmin walked towards them with a smile on his face.
"Long time no see Hyungs"
Jaejoong looked back at Yoochun and Junsu and caught the other two smiling back at him telling him that it was alright for him to go. Jaejoong wasted no time and within .5 seconds he was already in Changmin's arms crying loudly.
"Yah, do you know how much I miss your cooking?" Changmin said as he let the other man go
Jaejoong laughed and for the first time in ten years he laughed without holding back himself. The people inside the cafe had already began to take pictures and smile at the four boys who were catching up with each other laughing playfully.
"Ho-how did you know we were here Changmin-ah?"
"Ah that, let's just say I got an email from a certain duckbutt telling me to get my ass moving and head here"
"But you're not supposed to be here Changmin, what if SM finds out that you headed all the way here from Korea just to meet us?"
"I left Hyung, they can't do anything to me, to us anymore"
"What do you mean you left?!"
"He means we left the company, Jae-ah, the contract is over, we're no longer their puppets"
Jaejoong turned around at the voice coming from behind him eyes widening as he saw the love of his life smiling at him. Jaejoong stood up and faced Yunho.
"Hey"
"Hi"
And just like that he found himself grabbing Yunho's shirt and kissing the man senseless. He did not care if there were people watching them, hell they could even tell the world if they wanted to. Nothing would stop him from doing what he was doing. He waited ten years for this day to come and he was not about to let his fame as Youngwoong Jaejoong get in the way of this.
Right now he was simply Kim Jaejoong, and to him he was doing the most natural thing in the world. They let go of each other lips all bruised and swollen and smiled.
"What took you so long?"
"I had to finish the ten years I had remaining with them Jae, they threatened me that they would release everything they knew about you, about all of us and I couldn't let that happen. Not after seeing that you were finally getting back to your feet and starting your life over again. They tried to get us to sign another contract you know? But Changmin and I refused and left. They threatened me too, they told me that they would expose the media of our relationship. You should've seen the look on their faces when I told them to do so"
"Why would you do that?!"
"Because, I told them that no matter what they do, as long as I have you by my side nothing else matters"
And with that Jaejoong grabbed Yunho for another breath taking kiss.
Twelve years ago Kim Jaejoong had lost his sole purpose of living. Twelve years later he smiled as he looked at the other four boys who we're sitting next to him. So what if the media found out about his relationship with Yunho? He had the man he loved next to him and four snarky little brothers who were with him all along silently guiding him and helping him get through all the tough times that came into his life.
And he wouldn't want to have it any other way.
