Well, I always associate it with Performance Season in HS. Between Thanksgiving and New Years, we had countless Show Choir shows (Magnificent Mile, Shedd Aquarium, Palmer House, Addler, etc) as well as the band and choir Winter Concerts and three Madrigal performances. From that, it's an odd mix of good and bad memories, all linked to my own exhaustion. But when it comes to reflecting back on HS, those were by far my happiest moments.

So watching the snow falling makes more instinctively want to do vocal warm ups and practice.

I do my best to enjoy the season, even if the actually holidays are usually pretty trying with my unusual family dynamic. But setting that aside, it just makes me happy to see a time when everyone else is happy and warm, cherishing the moments spent together away from the cold.
