Depends on what you mean by reconciliation. Neither of us is going to change our minds politically, but on a personal level we can be civil to each other as long as we don't talk about politics. "love one another" doesn't just mean love people you like. Try to put yourself in their shoes and see their point of view. I often can't because it seems to require me to lose compassion for others. But that is still my own point of view.

Thank you for sharing your view. I agree that neither of us will change. I find it impossible to put myself in their shoes. I would like to be just "civil" , but they seem to want to be as friendly as before. Probably they still think Jesus will heal me someday.
