I think it will be for the better. Working retail is a hell of a thing. I should have realized that but I had stars in my eyes over the 10% employee discount and y'know, a paycheck.

Oh shit, I applied to both but I doubt I would work at either now. Makes me feel better, though, because I was like, "I AM THE ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD WHO EVER QUIT A RETAIL JOB" ;____;

Wow, thanks for posting my comment before I finished writing it, LJ, what the hell.

Don't blame you one damn bit. Retail sucks all the dicks, and that's with healthy joints. When you posted about your first shift, my first thought was worrying about your health, but I figured you knew yourself best and would quit if it was going to do you more harm than good.

I'm really sorry, though. I know what a blow to the spirit having to quit can be. Try not to be too hard on yourself, if at all possible.

*hugs, many many hugs*

I should have known, having putting myself through that before. But I was optimistic because I hadn't worked for a year and I figured my feet had had time to rest. But there is no rest for plantar fasciitis, I am coming to find out.

It's...really shitty but y'know, I'm sure there's gotta be something out there for me. And if not, well...working perhaps wasn't for me at the moment.

/hugs back ♥

Dear lord. My last job before this one was in a pedorthist's orthopedic shoe shop. He made insoles for people with foot problems. I met a looot of people with plantar fasciitis and yeah, retail is... not a good fit. *cringing*

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I'm sure there's something better suited for you out there somewhere. *moar hugs*

Yeah, it really isn't. That's what I keep telling my mom about us doing this cleaning job: the pain is not going to get better until you just don't stand on your feet :( I mean, retail and cleaning a building for an hour three times a week aren't the same thing exactly but she has developed pain like I have and we probably will have to let the job go before the year is up.

Thanks, BB ♥
