For any and all latecomers or those who didn't see my announcement, this is lintwhite and I have obviously moved journals. You can't see it because it's the Internet but I'm waving ♥

All right, so, I'm not sure if I mentioned it on lintwhite or if I've only mentioned it on Plurk but I got a job at Target. ( WATCH ME TALK ABOUT IT AT LENGTH. )

Ahhhhh, this brings back so many memories of working at Target ; w ;! I worked as a cashier at first, then mostly in guest services.

If the systems are the same over there, then the one guest in line rule isn't too strictly enforced, and there's some sort of +1 cashier assistance button to get the LOD to call another cashier/someone from another dept to help out in front if the lines are getting too crazy/backed up. :'D Especially during the holiday season, which is approaching, lol.

And if the registers are the same, then they do take into account the time you're signed into the register/idling, so we used to just sign out then quickly sign back in if there was a lull between guests, or print out a quick sign-in ticket thing to scan. Generally, after the first couple of days or week(s), having a score above that % is no problem. >:3b

Oh, I didn't know that!

Ohhh, really? Cause I got like three people and I started freaking mentally because I thought someone important might wander by and get mad. That makes me feel better. I'm starting to learn from some of the other team members that a lot of the things they hammered into us in orientation just doesn't happen, like asking EVERY SINGLE PERSON we encounter if they need help finding something.

Aww, for real? DDD: I printed out a ticket when I was on the register for several hours but generally when I hop on for a few minutes, it's BAM BAM BAM one person right after the other. But sometimes there is a minute or so where no one drifts by so I'll make sure to log off when that happens.

I did get a 100% the other day for a while. I was pretty shocked.

WORSHIP IS NOT NECESSARY. Unless it is sexual worship. >:)

I-I hope so too. Those on the place that shall not be named said they were shit and made your muscles work harder but I'm not sure how much I believe them. And then I was told by the goon doctors that shoes alone don't help the problem so now I'm like...WHAT DO I EVEN DO.

But the rocker shoes helped my feet much better than the regular tennis shoes I have so I'm probably going to go with those. Today I have on my regular ones and it's like...I can't even walk now, just from shopping a bit.

You're only allowed one customer waiting in line? Wow. I remember I worked in a store and it wasn't unheard of that I would have queues of 5+ people. Some customers just don't want to be served quickly... ;^__^

God, The Lion King. IDK, I think I just hit a certain age and suddenly realised it was such an ~emotional~ film. Basically. I cry too. Every. Time.

Yeah, they're all about being fast and getting the customers in and out. It's kind of absurd because we have a lot of clearance items out and people are going through them like nuts and I sometimes get people buying $500 worth of clothes. There is no way I can get them out the door that fast.

Oh, man, it's like...suddenly everything is sadder when you're older. I don't even know why. I used to be able to watch The Land Before Time and not bat an eyelash. Now I can't even see screencaps from it without tearing up.
