Oh, your family's going to hate him; those who are determined to hate him will, regardless of whether the country picks up.

That said, I don't think he'll mess it up. There's a reason so many people from so many different backgrounds voted for him.

...Okay, maybe that reason is Sarah Palin, but let's be optimistic and pretend it's because he has the sort of unifying power this country really needs right now.

We're having to vote for our new Prime Minister here in New Zealand on Saturday. I think it's going to go the other way.. We've had a Labour govt for a while now and people are not happy. But I just can't vote for National (our equivalent to your Republicans).. I just can't. So I won't. ^_^
