Touya had been lounging indolently on the bed, which still smelled of Jin, when he heard his more official lover return home. Considering Shishi hadn't come to say hello, or asked for anything, he couldn't help but suspect something was wrong.

Sliding out of the bed, he slipped into some loose pants and padded silently out of his room, gently pushing open the door Shishi had left ajar. He watched Shishi rummaging for a moment before stepping in and sliding the door shut after himself.

"Shishi? Is everything alright?"

Shishi nearly squawked in surprise when he heard someone behind him, turning around with wide violet eyes. It was clear the tengu was very much on edge, his bangs were slightly pointed as well.
"Fine....fine..." he quickly looked away to finally find what he was looking for, his bottle of make up and some cream for the bruise. He was not about to admit what happened with Miss Edith even to Touya, he was sure he was just going insane anyway.

That caused a frown to cross his face. Shishi was jumpy, even here. Something had clearly happened, and he thought he had seen a bruise...?

He advanced further into the room, coming to stand beside his lover. "Shishi, even if you don't want to tell me what happened, let me help settle you. I don't like seeing you this agitated."

"Nothing happened, I just hurt my eye and have a bit of a bruise," Shishi lied, but he slowly turned around to Touya once more, trying to wipe the smear of blood off his face as he did.

He paused, noticing the marks on his hand then but he had to be imagining things again. There was certainly no way Touya would believe a doll had bitten him or done any of those other things.

"You just hurt your eye..." he repeated slowly, raising one eyebrow. "Shishi, you have never been that clumsy." Now he fully approached the younger demon, gently grasping Shishi's hand, and his chin, to turn his face so he could get a better view of the injury in the light.

"I won't make you tell me what happened," he finally said after a moment, "But I will make you submit to my help in cleaning the wound up, and, knowing your vanity, hiding it."

"...it was one of the enemy. A really powerful demon. I dealt with them though," Shishi tried to summon up his usual vanity.

"Imagine if my fangirls saw it though..."

Touya sighed softly. "I said you didn't have to tell me," he repeated, but there was a hint of amusement to his voice. Shishi was clearly covering something. Obviously, he was mortified by whatever had happened, or he would have been bragging and swaggering, and still trying to hide the injury.

"Your fangirls will not see it. Sit down on the bed. I can see it a bit more clearly than you can, I imagine, so I'll clean it and hide it for you."

"...thank you. And there is no need to mention this incident to anyone either," Shishi said as he moved to sit on the bed, more calmed down and his bangs no longer pointed.

"Not a word," he assured him, lightly stroking his hair before leaving the room to get a damp cloth. That end achieved, he returned and leaned down so he was on level with Shishi's face, gently dabbing at the wound. "It will be ugly for a day or two, but hopefully will clear up quickly," he mused, as much to himself as to Shishi.

Shishi huffed, clearly not pleased but there was nothing he could do about it for now.
"I hope so...I can't go around with an ugly bruise on my face, especially not with how " the samurai remarked. He was not sure what Touya had to say about him being gone all yesterday and all night and he was not about to ask.
