Yuuri tried very hard when arranging the party. It was for Conrad, Yozak, and all the other people who risked their lives trying to get Conrad and Greta home. So it’s a lot of… well, it’s not fluffy food. There are huge turkey legs, tones of beef ribs, trays and trays of pork chops, cheese, bread, and beer. He promised music, but it’s nothing

"I would be delighted." She bows back before turning and handing Gwendal her fan.
She takes his hand and leads him out onto the dancefloor. She hadn't seen the young man since she got back and she'd missed him.

She slipped her other hand into his as she started moving in rhythm to the music.
"I missed you too. I'm sorry I had to leave so suddenly. I just... I just had to go. To see if there was anything I could do." Anissina tried to explain herself.

He strides over to her side where she's sitting and offers his hand to her. "Being a wall-flower does not become one of your passion. Come and dance with me," he invites.

She told Anissina she would be right back, and though part of her hoped she was still there, the other part hoped the other woman got whisked away before then.
She slipped her hand in his and stood. "Thank you, Gwendal."

He slips one strong hand around Gisela's waist while the other holds her hand, palm to palm. He then starts to lead, keeping in perfect harmony with the music. He had intended to watch Anissina carefully with a plausable excuse on his arm to be near, in the form of Gisela, but the healer's somber mood worried him.
"What is troubling you?" It was a broad question, he knew that her suiter Yuuri, whom died lied heavily within her as did the vanishing act of that selfish human Jose, who's mischief resulted in many nights of lost sleep over concern of Anissina's wrath of having her laboratory trespassed.

But then his attention was on her and she felt a little uncomfortable. "Hm? Oh, nothing you could help with, I'm sure. I'm not too keen on waiting a few decades--or is it centuries?--to winning over the object of my affections." She winked up at him.

He didn't like the way Alford was holding Anissina, nor did he like the twin smiles they were sporting. "He is too friendly," he muttered as he twirled Gisela in a rapid circle before catching her against his hard frame and then resuming the dance in more subdued measures.
He had appreciated the cut of Anissina's dress when she first showed it to him that evening, but seeing her dancing with another man in the same dress caused his bloodpressure to rise.

She looked away quickly. He already thought she hated him, best not let him catch her glaring in his direction.

He took a deep breath to calm himself, it was only a dance, nothing more. Then a faint memory comes to mind from the time when Anissina's experimentations had swapped genders of so much of the population.
If memory served correctly, at one point in time Anissina was a 'man' and spent some time with Alford. And Alford did seem to favor males.

"Yes. I have noticed. But Dad--Father is perfectly free to do as he pleases with whomever he pleases." Even if it makes her uncomfortable and causes her father to jump at the chance to dance with the man without even offering to help his own daughter up off the floor....
And she most certainly wasn't going to bring up why she felt so uncomfortable with Alford cozying up to her father. That would kill the man.
