Party ^__^ Day 51, Evening

Feb 02, 2007 15:39

Yuuri tried very hard when arranging the party. It was for Conrad, Yozak, and all the other people who risked their lives trying to get Conrad and Greta home. So it’s a lot of… well, it’s not fluffy food. There are huge turkey legs, tones of beef ribs, trays and trays of pork chops, cheese, bread, and beer. He promised music, but it’s nothing ( Read more... )

She wasn't planning on attending the party. But it was on the way to...somewhere, so she thought she would peek in. And she wasn't looking for Anissina. She was in a very obvious corner, after all. One couldn't help but notice. And that had nothing--nothing-- to do with her going back to her room and changing into nicer clothes. Or doing her hair up nice. Or even putting a little color on her lips. She was going to do that anyway. Yup. The only reason she was back at the party now was because...well...there were cookies. It was all about the cookies. Redheaded cookies...

...Oh, poor Anissina, having to...lick that mess up...with her own tongue...

What?

Oh.

"Alford." She glances at him (isn't this the one that has been spending time with Daddy?), glances back to the licking Anissina, then back to him. "Care to what? Oh! Right. Um...Sure. Yes."

She absently offers her hand.

Gunter steps into the circle of Alford's arms, captivated by his gentle smile. "Everyone was so busy today that I ate at a little restaurant in the town. I wish I had thought to ask you to accompany me." He feels a blush rising in his cheeks. There is gossip enough about them already, with Julia-sama asking if they were a couple. And the young human has been so kind to him...

"Would you care to join me there for dinner sometime, as a thank-you for all those days you have prepared my lunch?"

It is easy enough to steady Alford and keep them moving across the floor. "Of course." Gunter smiles. "It would be my pleasure."

A teasing expression crosses his face. "Do you know, I found the most lovely flower outside my door this morning. Some kind individual decided to name it for me." He leans closer, as if sharing a secret. "I have had it on my study desk all day."

Of course Anissina saw all of that. The color that had not quite faded returns to her cheeks. "Thanks. I'll be here all night." She's really not in the mood for jokes though.

"I think I'll stick with comfort food." She grabs a frosted cookie and takes a small bite. "You look nice."

Ulrike arrives at the party with a spring in her step and excitement in her eyes. So many people! And they all look very happy. The guests of honor have not arrived yet, but she's sure they will be here eventually. For now, she enjoys watching the revelers dance. She catches Heika's eye and waves excitedly. She doesn't recognize some of the women at the party, but one gives her a pat on the head, which makes her giggle. Perhaps at the next party she will attend in her adult form.

Lady Ulrike's presence surprises Gwendal, who has not spoken to her since the day a month beforehand when she visited Murata's room. He knows, from the reports of the Sage's guards, that Murata has spent much of the intervening period at the Shrine, and that he often emerges looking more refreshed than when he had entered. Wanting to express his gratitude for the peace the tiny Maiden has offered the youth, he approaches and gives a low bow.

"Lady Ulrike," he says with a charming smile. "Are you enjoying yourself?"

Ulrike hums to herself while eying the refreshments table. There are many brilliantly colored pitchers and bottles of things she would love to try... but she still remembers the last time she drank alcohol and that is probably not a good idea. However, there is no sheep this time...

The deep, familiar voice interrupts her internal debate, and she looks up to see one of the Sirs von Walde! Oh, he looks very handsome tonight! She curtsies and smiles widely. "Good evening Sir von Walde! I am having a wonderful time." *^____^*

"I am glad to hear it." She is adorable, and really quite difficult to be afraid of. Perhaps in this instance, he can grasp the bull by the horns. "Would you do me the honour of permitting me to the escort you in the next dance?" he asks. A convoluted, overly-formal way of putting things, but casual conversation would be difficult under the circumstances.

>.> Surely no one will notice if she just has a look at the party. With Revenge in the infirmary, she was getting lonely, and bored, and curious. Well! It was her right to know what that horrible nasty Yuuri was saying about her!

But she can't really see much from the door. Subtle (like a crippled donkey) she slips into the room and slides along the wall. When she reaches the table of food she gracefully drops down (like a crippled donkey tripping over chicken--why was it crossing the road anyway?) and hides herself under the table. She giggles at her cleverness.
