Great story about one of my favorite songs!

On a sidenote....when the encounter in the look happened (three weeks before the recording) the song was already written. The first attempt on it was in January, when Yoko's divorce was through and the first recording was on April 20th. So when they met in the loo, Paul wasn't a married man at all, he married in March.
But this is not important for the story...I loved it this way.

Ffffffffffffffff---

Brb, slamming my head on the wall.

Well I'm glad you liked it, even if I totally failed epically at the history of the marriage.

LOL...sorry again. As I said, it does not matter. Someone called me a walking Beatles Encyclopedia.....sorry to walk in here.*grins*

No, seriously, when they recorded the song they were indeed married...maybe Paul felt married already when he met John in the loo....or it was more than three weeks earlier, memories at that time weren't always working too well due to heavy weed consume.

Haha, I need to pay better attention, thats for sure.
So Lennon got married a day after Paul right? Making them both single at the time of the 'loo-visit' right?

Which means all I hafta do is change the sentence of Paul being married?

Mmm love me some good angst. And let me tell you, this was some GOOD angst. :D

For a first fic it was incredible. I wish my first fics had been this well thought out, this in character... I love the premise of John and Paul being fuck buddies, and then Paul falling for John and John not realising... this seems pretty realistic to me, even if John DID have feelings for Paul as well. Because I always think John fell for Paul much earlier than Paul did for him, so he would have had a lot of time to resign himself to having those feelings. By the time he met Yoko, I'm sure he was just desperate to put all that love on someone who could return it. But what you describe here still could have happened... very interesting, I really enjoyed this. :D

Wow O:

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I tend to not like angst but at the same time I felt the song 'Oh! Darling' needed a story. I'm very glad they seemed in character to you. I read a book about Paul and he has said some harsh things in Yoko's presence so I tried to show the nature of his feelings toward her early on. And what you said about John is totally true, so true in fact I think they could have switched roles quite easily.

Thank you for reading :U
