Oh what a pity. About the Presidential Palace, I mean: I bet it wasn't insured and they'll still have to keep up our interest payments.Which is a very cutting point about Haiti: the billions in loans that the Duvaliers drank and whored and banked in Switzerland were not 'forgiven' as Onerous Debt (the people of countries so declared are not held liable for obligations imposed upon them by kleptocrats, on the obvious logic that lending to criminals is very much the lender's risk) but still fall due for payment, year after year after year ( ... )
