So, I’ve had a conversation with my parents, respecting my brother. It has caused me anger, sadness and great concern for my family’s well being. This is supposed to be the time in which my parents enjoy their retirement as I and my brother work building each other’s lives independently

Good luck. We go through this to a lesser extent with Dave's sister (without the mental health issues--just mountains of debt and no money sense) so I know how much a struggle it is to distance yourself from family.

So my brother spent the weekend avoiding me and didn't come out of his room except for meals. This situation is not good. Until he gets a renewed OHIP card no treament can start...will never know why he allowed his OHIP card to expire in 2006.
