Constitutionality
I actually haven't given that much thought as to the constitutionality of a national individual mandate. To me its been utterly a secondary concern (because it seems to be a losing idea on other grounds). Here's a column about it. On Societal Decline
Mark Stein is widely reputed to have a dismal outlook on the future. There's a lot of stuff to quibble over in here, but its one of his more comprehensive columns. I think I've been slightly more on edge lately. An old friend, Ian Krieg, died this weekend and its thrown me very off balance. The left has zero class. None. Instead of enjoying the legislative victory, my facebook and twitter are littered with nonsense insulting anybody who opposed it.
