It is hard to believe you are so far away. I hope this will be a wonderful time for you! What research will you be working on? I hope you have long undies...That icebreaker makes MN look warm!!! The earlier pictures looked so beautiful and like a fairy tale. Do you download news etc during your time away? It is good to hear that you have associates (Palmer and Chris). Best of everything to you all- I'll write more as time goes by!!!

Hi, Carolyn. It's good to know people are reading this. Luckily we won't be going very far south (not past 60 deg S), so it'll be warmer than in my user icon, with the snow. We leave in 2.5 hours!
