Thoughts on marriage, posting my response to a friend

What happens if you marry and find after a time that you don't want to be married to that person anymore? Divorce, hopefully amicably. Same as any relationship, though it's got more steps because of legal paperwork

I read this to Rachel and she had some good comments, which I'll list here. She said one reason to get married is to make it more difficult to separate, to force the work that's needed to get through the difficulties that come with a marriage.
