That was beautifully done. I love the way John gradually comes to his realisation, and how uncertain Sherlock is about all of it too, even though he's more aware of the nature of their relationship. Loved the extracts from the show too - they do love to toy with us, don't they?

Oh, I loved this! Adored this. So much. I love how slow and uncertain, a bit, it was. And... subtle, in a way. And it seemed all very, very IC, their actions and reactions, for both of them. Also, like how you played with some parts of the show :) their love seems very real here, and at the same time just as it is in canon (where it, too, is quite real xD). Wonderful fic!
