Tomorrow I return home from my 2 week roadtrip.  On this trip I have finished reading two books.  Both excellent reads.

The first one was called "Conquest: Sexual Violence and the American Indian Genocide"
This was maybe one of the best books I have read in a long time.  It is written by Andrea Smith, (who is a phenomenal speaker by the way - go see ( Read more... )

I’m already in one line, but Conquest interests me, too. But since I started this inter-library loan business I’m pretty into it, so I can also do that.

hooray book reviews! i just put some up on my blag recently as well. maybe we can do a book swap sometime soon? although a lot of the stuff i've been reading lately that has been decent was from the library...

did you see elizabeth comack at the bookfair? if not, want to listen to shelagh's recording together sometime soon?

woah, book reviews all over!
I'd be interested in reading the Bourgeois influences on Anarchism book. Sounds really interesting. Too bad the law book was disappointing.

I did see Elizabeth comack speak at the bookfair. it was pretty much exactly the same talk she gave at the Whose Law What Order panel. Are you going to see her and nahanni on Monday?

Want to eat breakfast together sometime soon? I just got a bunch of groceries so I could make something delicious. Maybe we could play some games too, while we eat!
