After discussing theories with the first years, and doing away with the ridiculous ones, the first years are convinced that it was Pettigrey. Do you honestly think that the first years of ANY house would have any viable theories on who has been killing whom? Seems a rather ridiculous idea to even suggest such a notion.

In that case I should have expected it.

The first years are open-minded and know when they're being ridiculous. They sometimes need help realizing this. As Head Boy, I help them. Of course, I had an inkling I might come upon something plausible.
