Tell me about Flower! I'll have a PS3 starting in August. Or to be more accurate, will be living with someone who has one.

I guess I could just look it up, but I thought I'd take this opportunity for a conversation. :)

We (err, Chris) played Flower on otherDan's PS3 when we were in Minneapolis, and it was pretty awesome... the graphics alone are stunning, and the concept of the game is pretty simple. I'll let Dan tell you more, as he probably has more to say about it. But yeah, I really want a PS3 now (also for LittleBigPlanet)!

Yeah, I still need to get Little Big Planet. Hopefully if this job goes through we can have extra money to spend on it!

You know how some games have a lot of cinematic scense and people say it's like "playing a movie"? Well, this is like playing a poem.

The concept is indeed simple, you follow a potted flower's "dream": You guide around petals in waking up other flowers, which give you more petals, and that's kind of all you do. It's you generally making things happier as a flower. There aren't any words or text besides the credits, but in a way, it still follows a story.

It's also really easy to play too, as you just tilt the controller to change the wind, and press any button to go faster. And between the pretty graphics and nice music, it's almost meditative on the first few levels. It's kinda hard to describe, just because it really isn't a "traditonal" game.

Also, it's only like $5 or so. (Which considering there are 6 levels and a bonus level seems reasonable.)

Best of luck on the interview!

I'm feeling you on the John's wedding thing. I happened to run into Anna about a month and a half ahead of time, so I saw her ring and she told me the date, but yeah. Serendipity, or I wouldn't have known until the pictures showed up on Facebook.

To be fair, I don't think you can blame Facebook (at least in this instance). John and Anna gave no indication of their upcoming wedding on there, and only other people have posted photos in the aftermath. Unless, of course, Facebook facilitates direct communication for you.

Good luck with your job interview! What kind of job?
