You know, a setup like that could have some very interesting possibilities for a story. In this case, a lot of the details are still unclear, but a writer could change them to whatever works best anyhow.
If memory serves, Mark Twain wrote a story in which a boy is kidnapped, and the kidnappers end up paying the parents to take him back.

Now in a way.. that's kind of brave and kind of unusual all the same.
Make youself untolerable enough for them to want you to leave. Then again most kidnappers might just end up beating the hostage or worse soooo.. can't exactly be sure how "realistic" the scenario seems here. No offense Zaan, but over here from what I see on the 5 of clock news.. -`.-;;
