*is punched*, lol. I'm going to see whether I'm capable of doing any more, so maybe we'll all have some luck, and it'll work out. I have a terrible track record with finishing fics, which is why I put this up as a ficlet and not as a longer thing. I knew if I waited, the longer thing would never happen, even though the plot (or fragments of things I know want to happen that would more or less add up to a plot) is there.

Somewhere along the way, usually I reach a sort of asymptote. I keep trying but nothing comes, even though I know there's more there. It drives me nuts! I have so many stories to tell!

Haha I'm terrified I'll actually manage to write more and reveal who he is and it'll turn out they're not really grey. But they give me the impression of grey, steel-grey intensity, so that's what I'm going with.
