The only thing that I can discern out of any of this nonsense is that kids don't respond to you being nice, giving them leeway or respect. My kids, it seems, need to be treated badly to respect you at all. My kids will outright call me "dyke" or "bitch;" they will throw things, break things, or outright refuse to do their work. It would be funny if i weren't horribly invested in all of them
