There’s an old Mayan guy named Salbin, "sawl-VEEN," who hangs out in front of Roxy’s every night. He sits on a 5 gallon cleaning bucket and plays a small wooden djembe, bobbing his head to the beat,whistling and singing to the young girls who walk by on their way to club. I really enjoy reading and re-reading this snapshot. It makes you realize that sometimes putting words together to describe can still be vague and create only some of what something is like...and then someone puts words together and the words bring to life a visual picture that you can hear, see, touch and feel and even smell.

This and the dough butt on a log from an ealier post of yours are my favorite.
