Happy Lists
So since I'm bored, and since I ahve declared today as a livejournal day, I'm going to update again. And in lieu of other entries I have read, I'm going to make alist of thigns I love about college...not hate.
1. My roommate Nona is the best roommate I could have asked for. She does not smell. Whenever she stumbles in late at night wasted she is very quiet and never wakes me up. She is messy like me....but together we manage to keep things clean. We listen to the same music.
2. I look at my window and don't stare at dirt and packasandra. I get a pretty view.
3. There are always people around.
4. I feel very safe at night in my room. I don't worry about anyone breaking in my room like I did at home.
5. My relationship with my mom has improved dramatically.
6. I've overcome my fear of changing tampons while other people are in the bathroom.
7. There are definitely people here that I can see myself being friends with for the rest of my life.
8. Learning stuff now has a purpose.
9. If I smell like smoke there is no one to yell at me. No one calls my friends parents to see where I am. No one searches my room. No one says....no you can't drive with that 20 year old you met two days ago an hour away from campus and buy a pet.
10. I have a high speed internet connection.
11. I've improved my time management skills a lot.
12. I've realized what thigns I'm good at and bad at.
13. I get a fair amount of excercize running around from class to class.
14. I have really good, completely platonic male friends.
15. I can skip class without worrying about Ms. Barton eating me.
16. There is no Ms. Barton.
17. No one tells me to cover myself up when I wear a tank top.
18. Vodka and beer have become part of my food pyramid.
19. I'm a pro at being drunk.
20. I've tested my independence and my ability to succeed without anyone helping me and I havn't failed.
21. I know a girl whose boobs...no lie..i swear to god...look at her facebook picture...are the size of mine, amy's, danielle's, and jill's put together. (four handful's per boob)
22. I've gotten better at that whole jealous thing. I don't care about Kate, or Rachel, or any of the other girls I could list here. I've learned to put that shit in perspective.
23. No one can tell me no you can't go to that concert.
24. There is no 12 o clock curfew.
25. I don't have to waste any money on gas.
26. I haven't gained the freshman fifteen.
27. My campus is 100% beautiful and clean and pretty.
28. Coping with death has become easier.
29. I'm turning into that responsible adult I've always wanted to be.
30. I've finally had the chance to grow into the independent person I always to be and I don't need someone by my side all the time.
31. I'm friends with the people who in high school I would have hated, the people in high school that I never would have gotten to know, the people in high school who I would have loved...like the friends I miss dearly now.
32. I love the fact that Friday comes around just as fast and Monday does.
33. I'm turning into a nicer person I think.
