So I am still a consultant, and work is still crazy! I have lots of work with a number of different clients so things are good and they are keeping me busy.

In other news I want to buy a house. The problem is that houses here are crazy expensive, the 4bedroom townhouse next door just sold for 1.4Million NIS*. Now banks in Israel want at least 30%

Mazal tov. I have one or two high school friends who have grandchildren, but you're def. the first college friend to hit that milestone. ;-)

On the house thing (ouch!), is there any help to be had from organizations like Ateret Cohanim? (I don't know if they can wrangle any financial assistance (e.g. from overseas donors) or if they're just, effectively, real-estate agents.)

Problem is I feel really weird asking for "HELP" to buy a house when I make 2.5X the average wage here
