And it makes sense that you don't have a basis for comparison. I certainly remember when I was diagnosed and how much different I felt once I started taking it. It was amazing. Then, I had a refresher later on when they wanted to do a reuptake scan for some nodules and I had to go off for three weeks (which was a total waste of time since there wasn't even enough there to even take up the radioactive iodine. )
After that I swore, never again.
(Unless, you know, the zombie apocalypse goes down and I can't get meds anymore)

I have thought about that while watching time-travel movies, actually. If I could even survive something like that given they wouldn't have the medical advances necessary. Thinky brain is too thinky, sometimes! :D
