She's been nipping at me for a while but my almost 10 month old daughter bit me and I'm bleeding. Hurts like hell. Au revoir breastfeeding... It's been real. Thanks for all your help all these months and good luck to those just starting out!

It's a good thing she's cute!

once they bite its all over! 10 months is perfectly fine!!!
she will be on whole milk in 2 months anyway, or earlier.
I stopped both my girls at 9 months because they were done.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I'm super proud of myself cause I didn't want to breastfeed her at all while I was pregnant. I said I'd give it my best shot and see what happens. Here we are 10 months later!

After she bit me I yelped, plopped her down on the floor and wagged my finger in her face and said, "NO biting! That hurts Mommy!" and she smiled at me and goes, "Aaaooooww". It was very hard not to smile... The throbbing nipple helped though.

OMG! Cute attack! *dies from the cute*

She is ADORABLE!!!

Yeah, once they're biting and you're bleeding you're pretty much done. You can give her another chance if you want, but if she keeps doing it, that's the end. And she's been nipping at you.

"Meh!" to whoever deleted your post. I tried to keep going with a kid that was grazing me with her teeth rather than straight out biting. The day I had to squeeze out pus from my nipple before sanitising it and breastfeeding while I cried through the whole agonising procedure I decided to give up. You are not evil and you are not alone.

Thank you! Some women are so weird. That community claims to be a supportive place but only if you do exactly what they see as 'natural'. The fact that I made it 10 months and I didn't even want to breastfeed means nothing cause I'm not continuing till she's at least two. Gaaah! Oh well... Removed myself from that one.

She is adorable!
That's stupid that they removed you post. She is 10 months old, it's ok to stop now, imo. Especially if she is hurting you. That's only my opinion, but i find breastfeeding 2-3-5 year olds a bit odd and kinda... the opposite of natural. Especially after 2.
