Some great lines from tonight's game:
Zephyr: "Yes, you! If I didn't know better, I'd say you just crawled out of a crate of body parts!"
GM: There are, in fact, only lines in the hold walls. It's either an incredibly tight door, or something magical, because there are neither markings nor buttons nor levers anywhere near them.
Marcus: *looks to Zephyr* "Okay, how do we do that?"
GM: The ship shudders as thunder roars, but is still moving at a steady clip.
Zephyr: "Let's try putting some cargo on the door. Maybe the ship knows what we're trying to do and will open. It seems to be aware of its occupants."
Marcus looks around for a likely box to push over to the lines.
Marcus: "I don't suppose you've got a shovel or something?"
GM: There are tons of boxes and things scattered about.
Zephyr: "Alas."
Marcus shrugs and gets to work.
Zephyr starts trying to shove the boxes around...
GM: As you pile the boxes against one wall, you discover lines on the floor as well.
Some of the crates fall apart when pushed, revealing a lot of very dessicated Quirithi bodyparts - hands, shrivelled heads, toes, feet... all looking quite crumbly and old.
Eventually, you get a decent pile of boxes, broken crate bits, and cargo against one wall.
...and nothing happens.
Marcus stands back and looks on expectantly, "Hrm..."
Zephyr looks around and says loudly, "Uh, Open?"
GM: There is a loud creeeaaaaakk.
Zephyr looks surprised, clearly not having expected anything to happen.
GM: And a sliver of light runs along the edge of the lines... and the doors open.
Zephyr: "Well look at that!"
GM: And, because of the speed of the ship, everything against the doors immediately gets sucked out into the air!
GM: And everything else in the cargo hold begins sliding out.
GM: Including both of you!
Zephyr: "Close! Close!"
Marcus: "Close! Close! Close!"
