-Once again, I love how you handle the unveiling of the backstory and relationships between characters. You take just enough of the reader's understanding for granted while unveiling bits and pieces that hint at the necessary connective tissue. It's lovely.
-I've said it before and I'll say it again: your actions sequences are unparalleled. I love how it just unfolds so clearly, like watching a movie, in my mind.

The bullet cracked into the wall by her head.
It took her another moment of stunned silence to realise he’d been shot through the forehead.
Maybe read more carefully next time? Given I'm very meticulous with plot points in general, I'd have hoped you'd know better than to think I'd write something like that. ;)

I really enjoy this story. You're making everyone realistic. Misao maybe a ninja, but guns suck for ninja! She was able to take one out with surprise, but two?
