The "destroy the U.S., early Christmas gift to the banks" U.S.$700 billion [sarcasm]bailout[/sarcasm] bill met its demise, 228-205. It appears that a reincarnation will not be scheduled until after Rosh Hoshana (tomorrow).

Turkeys, Christmas. I wonder whether this will panic enough banks to force the retards back into voting again before they think they can get round to it?

The more orthodox Jewish Congressmen have no intention at all of violating Rosh Hoshana by actually being away from home. [Let's face it, it takes a while to travel to California by jet....] So the votes won't be there Tuesday at all.

Basically, all of U.S. Congress wants to shut down and not do anything until after the elections. Congressional overtime started Monday last week, and this is interfering with political campaigning.

CSPAN relayed that 99-1 against figure again. I have to wonder how many Representatives are going to get voted out over this. It's looking almost as bad as (2006) when the Republicans were flushed out of Congress over the banning of bank transactions for Internet gambling.

It is entirely possible this could hand the U.S. President Obama/Republican-dominated House/Democrat-dominated Senate, yes.

But not certain.
