Today I worked my first day! And it was great! Naturally there's lots of administration, but there's also a huge chunk of hanging out and intellectualize and come up with ideas and be creative. I'm so much on cloud nine still, I forgot I had booked my laundry room tonight. ;)
Sweden. Winter. Driving. This combination requires winter tires. Preferably studded. Which I have. Sad and tired ones. They're so crappy, that if I get pulled over I'd get a HUGE fine and the police would force me out of my car and take my keys and I would have to leave my pretty darling Jenny Toyota right there. Not driving her one more meter. In short: I need new winter tires!
Guess what I forgot to do today - besides doing my laundry? Call the tire shop. And tonight the temp is gonna drop again. Tomorrow the world will be covered with black ice. Again. And Jenny Toyota will behave like Bambi on ice. Again.
Oh! I don't believe I told you about Jenny! She's pretty. I love her. She's old, but in a good way. In the way that every two-bit shop can fix her with a pack of gum and some string! And she's green. Or blue. Or aquamarine or something like it. And this summer she hauled me, my mom and the Wee!Pixie all the way to Astrid Lindgrens World for a camping trip, and back again. That's a 1000 km round trip. The second half was done in one go. Non stop for six hours. She was perfect. I love my car!
This is from the dealership when I bought her. One of the headlights in front is a bit crooked these days - but she's still as pretty!
The name comes from the license plate. Swedish ones have three letters and three digits. Her letters are JNY... Jenny's a '98 Toyota Avensis. And she's The Best Car EVVAH!! ♥
And tomorrow I'll get her shiny new studded tires.
