I arrived (late) this morning to find various people in a panic about the fact that the aircon in one of the machine rooms had stopped overnight

Last time our supportive departments regressed all their staff back to past lives he found out he was civil servant of some description. He was tasked with creating the "Pointless Suggestion of the Day" books that get distributed to all MPs.
