Today was a somewhat monumental day in Zach’s life. Today I took down all the posters, printouts, and wall flags from my room. All most all of them being of metal bands. You may be asking yourself “what!? does Zach not like metal anymore?” and the answer is no, I still enjoy metal as much I did a month ago. But one thing has changed: I am tired of

I think it's good that you're cleaning out your room though. When I look around at your walls, it does sort of remind me of a younger, maybe not as mature Zach (although you've never been immature, but we all grow metnally as time goes on...well...most of do). Not to mention, clean rooms make you feel better. Whenever I organize things - whether it's my backpack, my junk drawer, or my room - I always feel rejuvanated. I think it's a really good thing to do...and I can't waaait to see what you do with it. And, I can't wait to buy you stuff to go in your room for your birthday XD

You can't identify yourself by the music you listen to, clothes you wear, hair style, or things you do. You are made up of the reasons why you listen to certain music, why you feel comfortable in certain clothes, what makes you happy about your hair, how you do the things you do. It's how much you mean the things you say, and the amount of kindness you show others.
I've completey left my old group of friends because I realized they didn't add to my happiness, and am hanging out with the anime crowd although I am not obsessed with anime. They're just really sweet, interesting people. And that's how they would still be if they did theater or wore Abercrombie and Fitch. Their personalities would still be there. I'm still the girl I've always been, although more sure of myself and happier to be alive. And definately much more open minded.

Your entries always make me think, so thank you. I've been wondering a lot about how people are identified, because people tend to do this "box" thing with cliques or any other lines we can draw from music/clothes/friends/sexuality/color/gender and I think it's hard to snap out of defining people as such.
PS I thought you were the absolute coolest in 7th grade Spanish class (still do), with the triple colored hair and bands I'd never heard of.
