It's so hard for me to get to that state of mind though. I try for an hour or so to get all the thoughts out of my head and just BE empty, but it seems like it's impossible for me. I'm just so stressed all the time and even when I'm trying not to think about anything, all of that stress won't leave my mind. It's really frustrating.

Sorry I just posted that here...

no that was a very appropriate comment for the subject. I think that we all would like to for a moment empty our mind or stresses and worries. I Guess my only advice to you is to not TRY to be empty, but simply find something like writting, playing music, meditating, painting, drawing, to emmerse yourself in until there is nothing left exept that which you are doing.

If I were a zen master in a past life I would have broken the chain of reincarnation and returned to my pure origin permanently. So, let's go with zen apprentice who never fully realized his/her goals.

Wow, Zach. You are a very deep young man. I am now going to be very ashamed of my lack of depth.. but whatever. Add me cuz I just added you.

I am flattered. I think everyone has creative depth in them, they just got to let it all out.
